About Us

The Municipal Integration Center Cologne is one of five departments in the Office for Integration and Diversity in the Mayor's Department.

What we do

Our target group includes all people with an international family history in Cologne, and our task is to enable these people to participate equally, i.e. to have equal access to all important pillars of society throughout their lives. At the same time, it is our task to take an active stand against racism and all other forms of discrimination.

 

In addition to education, training and employment, these pillars also include equal opportunities to participate in leisure and cultural activities as well as in health and counseling systems.

 

The projects, programs and tasks coordinated and supported by the team at the Cologne Municipal Integration Center in collaboration with cooperation partners in the city administration of Cologne and beyond are correspondingly wide-ranging.

 

Another important field of activity is to support structures and organizations such as voluntary work or migrant organizations that offer support structures for our target group.

 

We also focus on supporting and further developing the intercultural and migrant-oriented opening of the administration. We support the further development of Cologne's "Concept for strengthening the integrative urban society".

The Cologne Municipal Integration Center is a state-funded department of the Cologne city administration. It is supported by both the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration and the Ministry for Schools and Education.
